I am about to put in a new LP on my '99 just put guage in yesterday the port on top of filter. bad news no psi key on. next went to start and it wouldnt. I assume this is because the lp is junk and cant prime system or am i missing something. I only opened those ports on top of the filter! would that put air in? headed to cummins dealer in a moment to get pump but thought that I would put this out there to collect some info till I get back. Will key on cycles bleed this system or do i need to crack all those lines? any help welcome thanks.

Yes installing that in the top will get air in the system. You need to bleed the air out of the system, due the key on thing and listen for the pump to be running, it could take 4 or 5 cycles to get the air out. If you hear the pump running and after doing it 4 or 5 times go ahead and try to start it, and watch your fuel pressure. If all this fails it could be your LP is dead. FYI they are a bugger to start after getting air in the system. Some times people need to crack a injector line and try to start it, and close it as soon as you see fuel.
