PM member Wade Patton and talk to him about the Hi-Flow kit from Wildcat Diesel. He has it on his 99 and he runs a DD UFM (reprogrammed Edge Comp from my understanding ) and DD3's on his factory turbo but he said since the addition of the Hi-Flow kit from Wildcat that he can't get the fuel pressure below like 7 or 8psi
I've run the Comp and a set of 275's for over 70,000 turns with the factory lift pump and never had a problem. Course I'm an exception to the rule as I do run a 32 oz's bottle of PowerService about every other tank of fuel. I think this is why my lift pump never failed me.
I have 106,000 turns now and just installed the FASS system at 103,000. Wanted to get it on before the lift pump had a chance to do it's thing to the VP without my express permission
I would think you would be ok, but then again the mileage on the Lift Pump would be where you would have to decide on your comfort zone.
I had to have a new lift pump installed and so I decided to put in for some insurance . . . I had the Wildcat HiFlow system installed. I'm running a TST box and I never fall below 12 lbs. of FP. The parts are very high quality and the cost from Wildcat Diesel is about a buck fifty ($150).
