I keep getting code p0148 when I'm pulling a trailer. I do have an edge/attitude, but even if I turn it off, I will get a code on some long hills. Just started happening a few weeks ago, but seems to be getting worse. What I am wondering, instead of just buying a new (weak) lift pump. Would I be better off adding a small fass fueler (75gph)since I pull so often.

The 0148 is a very general fault code, there are alot of diffrent things that can trigger this code, I have had it come on while switching the power on my EZ, some are from weak liftpumps or fuel filters, even low rail pressure. As for upgrading do it and make sure you go with 2 micron filters with the new pump assy.

i replaced the fuel filter. that was my first thought. this only started happening after dc replaced my lift pump. (a completely nother story) i think they may have put a used lp on. warantee gone, can't go that route. i only want to go with fass if it's a prettyt good bet that it will solve my problems. i'm not in the position to just do "i need to have it" upgrades.

The fass or the Glacier Diesel Power kit, both have great reps here, but like I said either way go with a 2 micron filter setup! Its what are fuel systems need to stay healthy and happy.

Here's my problem. I really don't have the money to go out and make upgrades at this point. I'm just trying to fix a problem and make sure it doesn't come back. Seems my engine light comes on when I am pulling and going up hill. If I pump the throttle I can make it up without the light coming on. Bwfore I make the upgrade to a fass fueler I need to make sure that is deffinatley my problem. Any help here?

I got the P0148 code two weeks ago while towing. I think mine was due to gelling but not for sure. Going into dealer this Saturday to check for other codes and see what they say.
