As soon as my fuel gauge gets down to about 1/2 full It drops to empty and the alarm goes off. then it pops up again. It keeps doing this untill I fill up Then it good untill 1/2 full Any thoughts

You have the dreaded "Fuel tank sending unit malfunction". Search for cheap fixes of the unit or buy it from Dodge for $72+ for replacement unit (here in NV, don't know about the east coast). Biggest decision is to drop tank or lift bed to access top of fuel tank and remove module. Moving bed is best from what I've read unless you have aux tank/toolbox, or like me a heavy shell w/accessories. Once they start to go bad they'll never be reliable again.

Iv'e been reading post for a few hours and have come up with a part # 04797738. Make sure you check it out and have Dealer verify. My dealer told me that there is no such part, buy the whole mudule or live with a bad gauge. Good Luck. Jason

Part# 4897670AB - Level Unit - $67. 45 list price, $72. 34 w/tax. I'm attempting this replacement as we speak. I'm going to try removing left side bed bolts and loosening right side up as much as possible and tilt bed enough to get at module. We'll see.
