Took a peek at my full load diaphram this evening. Somewhere I read that the index mark was supposed to be at the "12 o-clock" position (toward the intake manifold). Well, my index mark is at the 8 o'clock position. Is there really any hard and fast rule on where the stock setting for this is? Should I jsut proceed to rotate 90 degrees closckwise (initially). I would, of course) mark the position of the original just to have a reference to return to if necessary.

Mine was not at the 12 o'clock position on my original pump. I started by rotating 90 degrees and went from there. I don't remember where I finally stopped but I adjusted until it felt right. When I did mine I already had the PW injectors in so I feeel that I got a little more bang for my buck. :D :D

Not certain what you described and what I have in mind are the same, but I'll guess and say that you are asking about the fuel cone? I rotated mine to achieve max smoke when I launch. My rig was ALL original/stock upon purchase. The index of which you described was straight ahead, to radiator. It's now turned 90*, clockwise, which has placed the deepest portion of cone to operate the fuel pin.

Hope I'm not confusing you.

Why is it referred to as a "TV Set" when they only gave me one:confused: ???

I find that turning the cone X number of degrees is only meaningful if they are all set the same from the factory. From what I have read the stock settings are all over the map. The cone works in conjunction with the fuel pin. It is my understanding that the further that the fuel pin can move the more fuel is provided, hence the deepest part of the cone will give you the most power. That is where mine is set at.

From what this novice can tell, not all are set-up the same from factory. Read once where the star wheel was between 2 and 3 turns from bottom. For the sake of argument, I found mine AT the bottom.

Quite certain my fuel cone had never been moved, as there was only one score mark. After I moved it, there are two.

Why do I find I'm parking in the DRIVEWAY and driving on the PARKWAY ???
