Full piller triple gauge mount

I have a 3 gauge mount at top of my wind sheild I do not like so I was thinking of moving the 3 gauges to a triple piller mount on my 2005 truck which my piller has a handle on it. So how hard is it to change to the new triple gauge piller mount do I have mod the piller like sawing off the handle mounts and or drilling and at night do the lights in the gauges reflect off the wind sheild.
