Fun at the Rodeo

I took my family to the rodeo last night. On the first bull ride, the bull decided to show everyone in my section what a good time is all about. He jumped the seven foot wall into our box seats and all he** broke loose. Several people were hurt but none seriously. He stomped our seats down and scared the devil out of my 9 year old daughter. Pictures were taken from the local TV station web site. We were in Section 10. This picture was taken after the bull had made it down to Section 7. The wrangler in the purple shirt lassoed the bull and then they hauled him back over the rail.

Ouch is right. We just saw on the news here that ten people were injured, two requiring a visit to the hospital. I helped with two young children that got scraped up and we left. The livestock company supplying the bulls said that is the first time in their 55 year history that a bull has ever done that.



This is another shot. This is right when he jumped into our box seats. The bull is kinda hidden by the wrangler in the white shirt. My wife is in the top right corner in the gold shirt and black vest. I had already cleared that four foot rail with my nine year old under my arm. I turned to pull her over and she managed to make it on her on. There were people that you can't see down under the bull and on the floor by the arena rail. He jumped the rail right at the Dodge sign and as you can see it is as high as the horses heads.
