My wife is finally letting me spend some money on the ol' 91 W350. :D So I had the local Discount tire store order me some 5 spoke Alcoa 16X7 wheels from Southwest Wheel and I paid for the wheels and 4 Michelin LTX MS 265 75 16 LRE tires. Friday they called and said everything was in. Yesterday morning I went to store early to get my tires and wheels. The salesman said everythin was ok except one thing. They had sold my tires to someone else a couple of days before. I told them that was the tire I wanted and they better do something. They located another set in Albuq. and sent someone to get them. Later I went back to get the tires and wheels and they didn't get the right center caps for the front and they ordered the wrong size lug nuts to boot. Since my old tires were already dismounted I told them to use my old nuts and order the correct ones. I was in a hurry to leave so I could go to work. Well they got evrything mounted and I left for work. Boy was I amazed the tires were the smoothest, softest riding tires my truck has ever had, Michelin had really impressed me. About 4 hours later the salesman called me and said that the guys in the shop had mounted LR C tires. That sure explained the smooth ride. Those six plys sure were nice, I'm going to hate to have to get them changed to ten plys, I was getting spoiled. One good thing I don't think there is much else to go wrong with buying wheels and tires. Old Dodge is going to look good with new wheels and soon I'm getting a good paint job. Guages are soon to come but I probably won't do too much to boost performance. Maybe an intercooler and exhaust. :D

I just put 8 ply Coopers all around my truck. Man, stunning difference in driving. . . but it does ride rougher...

No more wandering and the traction is multiple X's better.

Good tires do not cost, they pay.

New tires are always lots of fun. Of course if you have Michelins you don't get to buy them too often. Last a long time.
