Fun w/a Ford

I had a Ford pass me up between two traffic lights on a four lane. After the last light, the road opens up to 65mph and free of stop lights. The Ford pulled ahead and I noticed a very large/polished exhaust tip and soon after, what appeared to be a puff of exhaust. Then another soon after.



I drew the conclusion he wanted to see some smoke from the stacks and so I moved along side and out ahead. Then pulled over in front of the Ford and backed off the throttle slightly. I began to execute the throttle stomp, only to discover my entire foot suddenly slipped completely off.



With a Ford truck grille quickly filling the glass of my rear view, I gave a quick downward stomp on the accelerator and as a result, the entire roadway disappeared from view. :-laf



I soon slowed to the legal speed and the driver of said Ford truck slowly approached my side window with a big grin and thumb up. Oo.



My first encounter with a cheerful Ford owner.

Next day... ... .....



... lazily driving past the brother 'n Laws home, my wife's sister was pushing a mower along the ditch next to the road. From nearly 50 foot back of her I began to lean pretty hard on the throttle. The resulting death cloud forced her to abandon the mower and head for cover. The smoke was on top of her like a chicken on a june bug.



It was priceless.



I near wet myself.



You simply cannot have this much fun w/a gas burner.

LOL! That sounds like something I would do! Have you talked to your victim yet? I'd love to know what her thoughts were.



BTW, I love your setup for the stacks. Beautiful job! Maybe you could drop my house and slip a set on Black Sabbath.

I have not. She and her husband had been hounding me for a smokey-black burn out a few weeks prior during their daughter's B-Day party. I seldom do that as I prefer that the rear rubber remain ON the tire and I don't recieve compensation when I resurface the highway.



But I did. And it had been some time since the last which resulted in the rear tire tread shearing from the casing.



This time is was almost uneventful. I rolled into the throttle with the front tires slightly turned and I lost control when the rear end came around on me. My wife was with me and she thought we were gonners. The rear end just about slid off the pavement.



I returned days later to the scene. It looked as if a drunk was driving. Two heavy foot prints, one side of the road to the other.



They still talk about it.



Your only supposed to be able to do that with a small turbine housing, not the big eighteen-five casting... ... .
