2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Funky Brakes

so I replaced my rear wheel cylinder and made sure everything was bled all the way around also did all the pads and shoes and checked calipers in the front and everything is working great EXEPT now when the truck sits for about 4 to 5 hours and I pull out of the parking lot as soon as I barely push on the brake pad "WHAM" the brakes lock up as if I was pushing all the way down on the brake pedal it does this 2-3 times and then they are as smooth as can be this used to happen a while back before I changed the pads and shoes but I did not notice it as much as now. Maybe because the pads were wore down? So what gives? I ran a crap load of fluid when I bled the fluid both in the reservoir and coming out of the lines was as close to clear as I could get it. So what controls the pressure and why would it only do it after sitting for a while. Any ideas

took a look at them(shoes and pads) today and they are dry ans can be. also it does this only one or twice (push of the brake pedal) before running as the shuld. its like they are not sensing the correct pressure being applied to the brake pedal.

Do you have high humidity where you live? I had this problem with morning dew on the drums. They are real touchy till they dry. You are probably seeing this more now with bigger wheel cylinders and nice fresh (un-glazed) shoes.
 
yes there is lots of humidity here in florida the only thing is that ok i start pulling out of the driveway or the parking lot and as soon i i hit the brakes they go on all the way. and i know the abs is working because i feel them pulsate if the wheel locks. so i would think that if it was water on the shoes or pads it would last a bit longer than just one push or two of the brake pedal. now i will have to try this again but before i left work today i sat there and idled for about 3-5 minutes and no problem at all. i just dont get it lol
 
On the rear did you happen to put the primary's on one side and the secondary's on the other? The rear shoes have a primary and secondary per side. The PO or a shop had done this to my truck before I bought. Truck acted the same way first thing in the morning, but after a couple of brake applications it went away. I found out when I ran the truck through MD inspection. Switched them to where they should be and all is fine.
 
wow never thought of that hmmm well i will have to check because when i replaced them i put them back on as they were. and like i said before when i bought the truck (used) it did it a few times but then it went away. so what is correct if you are looking at the passenger side drum? is it the longer shoe on the back side and the short one on the front side facing the front of the truck or is it the other way around?
 
BTW i just looked at some pictures i took when i changed the brakes just for reference and i do have the longer pad in the back part and the shorter one in the front. is this correct?

Well that is not the problem as you have them on correctly.
