I noticed my truck was doing something new today. I was leaving for work and I noticed that my truck was making a wierd noise while I was applying the brakes. It sounded like it did when it was -20 out and the truck sat all night. WHile it was making the sound, the brakes were fighting me( pushing back) and the power steering would stall out or a second and then come back like it was binding up. I checked the PS fluid, thinking that it was low or had water in it, but it was clear and full. I did notice that the fluid was really dark and it smelled slightly burn't. the power steering was always weak but this is bad. I also had the brake stick in the applied position until I pulled up on the brake pedal. I know that something is wrong with it but I don't want to take it to the dealer to be told that it is MY fault and charge me to fix NOTHING like last time.
