Mor/Ryde RS "Airless Suspension System"

This morning I am towing the 5th wheel on I-40 just east of Barstow, going west. There are some short hills of about 4 % that go maybe a mile up, then go

back down, well I am in the slow lane, cruse control on 60 mph, just cruising along, a guy in a 7. 3 Ferd goes to pass me, I hear the fan rev up, some black smoke in my rear view door mirror, he starts to pass me, then runs out of power, and slowly descends back a hundred yards. The grade starts down, he races past me on the down hill, next hill same story. His Wife looks out the side window, I am still at 60, they are maybe 45 mph, I could read her lips, " what kind of truck is that ?" she says, I thought this was very amusing, Ron

The Ferd was pulling about a 30' 5th wheel, it looked a little heavy. I don't know what the power is in one, but it had a huge fan to make all that noise.

RonD hows fuel mileage compared to the o5 3500 . my truck is a 05 3500 4x4 long bed,thinking about a new one,maybe 2 wheel drive.

My 05 and my 12 get the very same, 10. 50, all towing, I don't use the truck except 5th wheel travel, and side trips on the road, just turned 4000 miles, zero issues, great truck, Ron

I thought 7. 3s were the good ones.

MC, you made me think of the old saying "it ain't what you got, it's what you got RIGHT. " 7. 3 s don't have the power of the newer trucks, but they could/did give a decent account of themselves. No engine is gonna perform with bad injectors, etc. A lot of the farmers around here got good service out of them. One man used one to haul 20k of cows to the Siler City, NC market (which is not an all flat-land trip) and make a round trip about as quickly as a "naked" truck. Mark
