After installing the Comp tonite, I went for a test drive. Everything's normal until I make a WOT run and the transmission shifts 1-2-3 fine then kind of hiccups until I let up a little. The shudder feels almost like the TC locking and unlocking like the factory trans did. I have only about 600 miles on the transmission thus far and will prob. call the installer tomorrow for his input. Anyone else got any ideas before I go crying unnecessarily to DTT?
 
I am not sure, but I think in some cases when you have power upgrades they recommend that you bring the truck back in to have the shift points and line pressures adjusted.
 
First thing to look for is a loose connection on your box, make sure you dont have one. also Bill said you may need a noise filter , after you check the connections if they all seem ok, give Bill a call if you need a hand and he can tell you what to look for.
 
Stefan, I called and spoke with Bill on Friday afternoon. He did recommend a noise filter, so I have bought one from you and it is in route. I am just curious about why it only mis-shifts at WOT going into overdrive, not TC lockup. If I turn overdrive off, it does just fine, otherwise when it shifts into od is't almost like it hits neutral and revs to the rev limit repeatedly until you back out. I've only done it 3 times thus far. Twice the nite after the DD box install and once after I talked to Bill and I cleaned and greased all conn. and re-cal the TPS.

I don't mean to come off upset or ill. I am extremely happy with the DTT transmission. It has peformed just fine up until this week. I have made a handful of changes in a short amount of time.

I installed DD3's 3 days prior to the transmission work. This week I replaced trans. fluid and filter only, made no adjustments whatsoever. Two days after the fluid and filter I removed the EZ and replaced with the comp box. I had no issues at all until the comp install.
