Should I be disappointed?

SO I installed a transferflow in bed tank with the TRAX 2 system. In the install I shorted a wire and blew a fuse. Checked in the fuse box and the fuses are NOT the common MINI fuese they are smaller and called the MICRO fuse. My local auto parts store had not heard of them. I called my local RAM dealer and they told me that those fuses are on a national backorder. I wound up grinding a MINI fuse down to make it work. Way to go MOPAR. .

Awesome, Ok you tap the power wire to the factorcy Module Pump (Power)? I hope transflow supplied a Harness like this 1, I made the 1 pictured for My dual pump bypass/additional filter lift system.

Great. I got pulled over the other week at 3am for no running lights on the utility trailer. Figured the plug needed a little attention, however everything looked all right but still no lights. Move on 3 weeks. Picked up 5th wheel last night for a trip tonight. Guess what, no running lights there either. Blown fuse. I pulled it out and sending the wife to the dealer today. Hopefully they have one. Way to go Ram, what was wrong with standard mini fuses and why no spares in the box?

I still love my truck.

Better circuit board with the Micros.

Glad it's for a real reason and not just so they can make money off of parts. I figured it was a size limitation. It seems as though there are a thousand fuses in this truck. It takes 3 pages in the owners manual just to list them all.

Well my dealer didn't have any either but fortunately my wife was able to charm the parts guy to take some off a floor model.

If the 13 had the TIPM,I would possibly passed on the purchase, Those darn modules (TIPM) have been a serious problem beginning with its inception in 2006. RAM really went to bat and hit a grand slam with the 13 3500. finally a Truck with the ultimate combination Engine (Cummins) Trans (Aisin) upgraded electronics, Suspension , DL, couple with an awesome cab.

They did not supply the wire and tech did not suggest pulling power from that place. They had me take power from the cigar lighter plug on the dash. I used that power to run the Painless panel. The only negitive is that the power stays on when the key is in ACC. This powers the TRAXUS and cuts power to the truck fuel gauge. Causes the transferflow to pump if the ACC switch is on for more than a few minutes

I would switch it. In the rare case of accidental discharge, The pump wire is monitored By the PCM, if the engine quits running it kills the power to the Pump. The pump will only run if engine running or ignition start.

When I talked to the Transfer flow tech he was nervous about where the power on came from. I will call them again Monday to hopefully get a better answer.

I can see why they would be nervous, But if they would have done the correct R/D that w dewitche nerve would have be been healed, look at it form this angle, You get wish boned, and rupture the line or flip the vehicle, you could be spraying fuel all over the place, Max Time would only be 10 minute's, rare but possible. The cig wires run into cab, if their a short and the wires become hot and drop onto other wires theirs gonna be a fire, again rare but possible, it would be much safer for the transflow pump to be grounded inside the cab on a switch, that way you can always control the transfer condition, it seems the automated systems are problematic at times.

Its just not the way I would do it, I never ever allowed even the smallest bad scenario to develop, BC it generally happens.

I think the point he is trying to make is that by powering it from that particular place, the pump will continue to run if you are in an accident, not just that it will run if you turn the key to acc.
