Tail lights are not working on 2013 Ram 3500..... can't seem to find a fuse and am wondering if there is a module that controls the tail lights....

The led clearance lights work.... and all other lights.... just no tail lights....

Thoughts...

So I fixed it..... here's the scoop..... I had, by mistake grounded the tail light circuit at the back of the truck.... the tail lights and trailer tail lights went dark and wouldn't come back on.....

90 minutes of pulling every fuse and checking them.... and than posting here..... GSBROKMAN thought that the TIPM controlled those lights.... and sure enough he was RIGHT.... a search showed that I had tripped the TIPM and I thought for a while it was going to be a trip to buy parts.... BUT, BUT

A further search found that you can HARD RESET the TIPM.... HARD RESET, wonder if that will work.... so here's the skinny..... you set the timer on your phone for 12 seconds..... you turn the key to the "ON" position and don't start the truck.... at the same time you get the key to the on position, you start the timer and count down the 12 seconds..... when the buzzer goes off you turn OFF the key.... and than start the truck.... In my case the truck is keyless.... and this process didn't work in the ACC position so I tired the RUN position and it RESET the TIPM and now all works fine....

BTW I searched these forums and found nothing on this....

Sounds like the TIPM has, or acts like, a circuit breaker, which is a nice feature (if you know about it).

I don't have a 4th Gen... is this reset a known entity (ie, in the manual)?

Found the reset from a web site that does repair and return on the TIPM. They suggest a hard reset to save the effort of sending in a good unit.... its the same reset the dealer would do with their test equipment.... BTW my reader couldn't help...
