Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fuse problem

posting this for a friend. he has 01 3500 automatic. the truck will blow

the starter solenoid fuse every so often when cranking the truck.

any ideas or history of this? thanks for any replys

I am going out on limb a little here, but it sounds to me like you might be in need of a starter rebuild. You can get the kits cheap here:LarryB's Dodge starting problems solved here.
