Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fuseable links

Were are the fuseable links on my 97 ? I have replaced the crank position sensor,fuel valve relays put in new batterys and it still just dies and the guages die also. It does start right back up just wandering were the fuseable links are so i can check them now. thanks for the help

On my 96 there is one, blue, that connects to the battery and gos to the fuel shut off solenoid. Not alot of info here. Does it run for any amount of time or die as soon as you put the key to run?

yes it runs for a while its never the same some times it dies while its idling warming up . It always starts back up and runs for a while

Next time it dies leave the key on run check the fuel shut off valve to see if it it still pulled up. If it is I would look for an air leak in the fuel system.

If it only dies at idle, might be too low idle speed. Like Floyd said, next time it dies leave the ignition on and see if you can lift the shutoff solenoid. It it is all the way up, then it is ok.

10mm screw on the back of the pump below the afc diaphragm. You have to loosen the jam nut and lengthen the screw a bit. Almost impossible to see also. Once you have done one, not too bad a job. I'm sure someone will link a diagram to help you out. Go for 750 rpm's with ac on for the manual trans. Good luck.

Turned up the idle and it has not died when i have drove thanks again all the info and helpful people on here are great

FYI, the 97 has four fusible links on the drivers side battery. Two are black and go to the grid heater relays, one is blue for the shutoff solenoid relay and the other is orange IIRC for the fuel heater relay. Pretty easy to ID them. They start one color, then connect to another color wire about 6 inches away (except the black ones, they connect to black).
