I was at the hayward dealer on Friday when they were delivering the 6. 7l C&C hey were both sticks so can't comment on the aisin... I will tell you this there is a whole lot of "stuff" on that engine you don't even want to try to get to the turbo there is so much stuff attached to it. just an FYI...

Did you get a chance to sit in it with it running or drive it? Does it sound like a 5. 9 ISB motor? I saw one up close and personal at a Daimler Chrysler sponsored event a few weeks back (auto) but they wouldn't fire it up or let anyone drive it.

Very different starter sound overall I would say it sounds very simalar to the current 5. 9isbe interior seems the same as soon as an auto shows up I will grab one and go for a "road test"

I may have to do some "research" on a replacement for our aging F450 flatbed :D Hayward is only 20 min. from here...

The starter probably sounds different since it is a 1:1 ratio gear starter.

Traditionally the starters on Dodge B's have been gear reduced.

HMMMmm - that funny wrapped crossover pipe an EGR setup?

I know it probably looks lots better in person - but the general underhood appearance looks sorta like something built in someone's back yard...

I guess there will be no "twins" retrofit kit for 2007+ CTD's  Also I will love to see an aftermarket vendor make an intake or even use a BHAF setup, I mean look at all those sensors coming off the intake housing :--) I crawled up under the one at the Daimler Chrysler event a couple week back and all the sensors and small pipes going to the Particulate Filter were nuts, I was surprised to see the actual oem muffler was 1/3 the size of the suitcase thats on the 2003-'06 trucks. I bet removing the muffler doesn't change the sound or performance. Glad I got an '05 but I will sit back and wait to see what the aftermarket does for these over the next year or two if I don't get me a 2007+ Superduty first :--)

That looks like a mess under the hood!!

Someone should be sent back to go clean that up, then stand in the corner for making the mess in the first place. Sure glad I got an '06.

The vapor separator looks to be way different than the current 5. 9 so hopefully it will keep it dry on the inlet side.

The insulation of the EGR tube has the identical "diamond weave" pattern that I see in my new mustang. I wonder if the EPA requires that weave to make it easy to spot tampering with that tube, or if they are just being made by the same supplier.
