Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fyi Lp Don't Do This

Friend of mine - NOT a TDR member (even though I have tried to get him to check it out)



98 102k changed FF, could not get it to start.

NO gauges, (DUH!)

cranks, cranks, cranks, ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... over a period of probably a day or so.

Seems his LP is dead and probably has been dead for a while.

He also killed his VP (or it could have been on the way out without an LP for a while)



VP at dealer $3k

never got around to ask how much for the LP.



He wanted to see my LP relocate today (after the damage has been done as well as to his wallet)



Get the PICTURE?

Get the gauges! Read the threads! Relocate or ?????? whatever you decide to do!



BUT DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



ESPECIALLY the FP gauge(s). Temp or permanent, but find out for pete's sake!

If not for the TDR, I would have never known about the lp issue. It's a shame such a simple thing can end up costing one so much.



I have a fuel pressure gauge now
