Just for your information... ... . I received an email from my ISP (Armstrong Cable) today, that my account was detected as sending out spam emails. The message had an attachment that supposedly would help get rid of the virus that was sending the spam.
It turns out that the email attachment was the virus. Apparently, someone with way too much time on their hands, has a new virus out that sends false emails. They look like they are coming from your Internet service provider detailing a problem and giving an attachment that is supposed to give instructions on how to remove the virus. If you get an email like this DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT. It will give your computer the virus. Thank God my firewall blocked it. I was dumb enough to click on it without thinking.
The Armstrong rep said that many of their accounts were effected today and some other ISP's are having the same problem.
Sorry if you all know of this scam... . but I just thought I would offer the info.
