I get mad every time I see the price of propane at the sale point!!
The last few fracs that I was on, we took around 5000 gallons every 12 hours and the price was only 75 cents a gallon delivered!! I'm sure that we get a discount of some sort for purchasing so much at a time. It seems to me that people are gouging us and the price for propane shouldn't be over $1 per gallon.
Each one holds 2865gal BTW... One of them was empty and the other at 5% when the two delivery trucks showed up!!
Paid $1.79 plus tax (9%) this week outside of Port Townsend, WA, at a lumber yard.
When I'm in the Phoenix area I get propane for $2 / gal at a Shell station in Sun City!
About the same here, boiling up that macaroni ain't cheap........ I'm in the 4.00 plus range every time that they fill my 200 lb tank at the house.
I believe that the bulk propane for the forklifts here is running about 2.49 per as I recall. The only way up here now to get cheaper Propane is to use a lot. If you have a Propane Furnace and Dryer you can get down into the 2.50 to 3.00 range.
It did NOT drop in price here even when Gas, Diesel and Home Heating Oil did......
