QUICK CONNECT BATTERY

JUMPER/CHARGING SYSTEM

Designed for drag racing and wherever a jump-start from a remote battery is frequently required. Our two-way, quick disconnect permanently attaches to the vehicle, the other end attaches to the battery. When a jump start or charge is needed just plug it in. This kit comes complete with two battery quick connect terminals, high quality #4 gauge battery cable, two 500 amp jumper clamps and two plated copper battery post connectors. "

You could probably make a kit for less if you have access to the big disconnects & associated hardware, but FYI.

Those forklift charger connections are rather $$ expensive. I looked into them when thinking about the winch install. But they are the best for the high current. Except the winch bumper used all the funds. Stainle$$ Pro-Zap

175 amp connectors

If anyone wants the 175 amp quick connects for a DIY project, you can get them at auto parts stores, welding supply shops and graingers.

I bought 5 and wired the front and back for a winch and cut my jumper cables in half so I can hook them direct to the battery or put them back together for others to use and the last one is on the 1500# winch for draging stuff onto the flatbed trailer. They are around $13 each.

if you do make this kind of setup to help others out or just for your own use, it might be a good idea to put in a battery isolation switch. you boost start someones car, and it surges power back into your vehicle, you could loose the computer. . that would suck big time. .

hmm, maybe some big diode's could do the trick instead of isolators. . ??

Someone posted a link here a few years ago to a connector supplier whose prices were quite reasonable, under $25 for the whole setup sans wire. The auto parts guys will rip you.
