I recently installed a fully splined main shaft, syncros, bearings etc along with a 13 inch South Bend clutch. I have been experiencing increased stiff and notchy shifting as the weather turned hot this summer. The problem was always worse as daytime temps rose. I had been discussing possible causes with both Peter at SBC and Charlie at Std Trans. Anyway, I decided to try a new master/slave assembly. I ordered thru mopar4less at a 75 dollar savings over my local dealer. The problem has been resolved, the clutch now engages a few inches further from the floor and gives me a much cleaner disengagement and better shifting. Go figure since the old unit functioned as always. Maybe it was always not a 100% or maybe Dodge changed the new unit to give some more clutch movement.
