Fyi: Urea

I'm admitting right here and right now that my 6. 7 knowledge is minimal. It seems like I may have read that newer C&C trucks will use UREA. I found an interesting article related to that and I thought that this would be the best place to post the link.

If you read through the "Ask the Engineer Live Chat Thread the Dodge and Cummins Engineer cleared some theories that members had.



The urea system(SEC) does not get rid of the EGR and it has nothing to do with the DPF.

The 2010 Dodge 6. 7 CC will have both the SEC(urea solution) and EGR. So will the Fords and Chevies pickup trucks.

The 2010 6. 7 Dodge pickup Truck will only have the EGR.

All Diesels will have a DPF.



The CC and the Pickups are in two different classifications.
