Ford bought Cummins rumor????

I really wasn't to impressed with the times I got with a G-tech(spelling?) that a buddy let me use. I've got DD1's and a Hot PE and a slippin' clutch that mainly just slipped in 4th gear. 0 to 60 8. 07, quarter mile 16. 06 @ 92mph. The launches where done in 4x4. Truck has 3. 54 gears, 5 speed, 2" front lift and 315/75/16 tires.

Swayse... I really don't think your times are all that bad. Look at all the additional stuff HVAC has on his rig, and his 1/4 mile times are only three seconds or so faster than you.
(Propane, nitrous, DD3s, HX40, etc, etc)

Also, remember to use the G-Tech as a guide, not gospel. (although several of us have found it to be extremely close to dyno runs)

Adam... with an 8000lb truck, its hard to make up 3 seconds... but, 3 seconds is not a huge gain for all of the extra stuff it would take to be installed. My point is that those three seconds would cost thousands of dollars, and maybe a substitute driver. #ad

A 16 second Ram with only DD1s and a PE is pretty respectable. Take a look at his signature... then compare the difference in equipment. I have a Nova with a hot 350cid, and it weighs half of what a Ram does... its 1/4 mile time is about 14. 6 seconds.

I'm going to run my truck at the drag races here in a few weeks, I guess we'll see what I do there. Like they say, "when the flag drops, the bull**** stops". Anybody else in the area wanna go? It'll be in Hobbs NM.

I'm getting ready for a new clutch, I going with South Bend or Sachs. Then I'm going back to DD3 and maybe some propane, I want to go as far as I can without changing the turbo. I would love the twin turbo setup but $$$$.
