G56 Trans and 3:73 gears.

The G56 trans with a final of 0. 79 coupled with 3:73 gears makes for a great towing combo but the engine gets pretty busy while running empty at 75 to 80 mph.



My question to the gear ratio gurus in TDR land is... ... . does American axle offer something in the 3:50 range and is the ring gear and pinion easy to change???

I agree, I was thinking 37's would make the motor purr at about 70 or so.

No better gears at this time, but there was a rumor a while back that AAM was working on it, but that could be a pipe dream.
