That's *****in' Gene! I'm inspired! Do you actually ever get to watch the road? I finally put in a pyro & boost on a dual pillar mount. I bought another single pillar mount that I'll have to modify in but will be pretty high but still visible enough for a less frequently observed item. It looks like had you made that box a little longer and pinched them a little closer together you could have had 9 positions. Let's see that would give me only 12... might have to go a second story!

Looks great Gene,
Just curious what kind of temps you see in the differentials and transfer case, is there much difference with a load and without and does speed make a lot of difference??
Thanks in advance,
Caleb

Love all them guages, Gene! I really like the way it matches the factory instrument panel. Wanna build one for me?
Hey NOMOFO, or anyone else-- Do any of the 2nd gen pillar mounts work for our 1st gens (I cannot find one advertised for 1st gens, only 2nd gens. )
Thanks!

The panel must look taller in the photos. It's only about 3 1/4" high, I can still see most of the hood.
I started with just the Dodge tach for a couple years than decide to build the rest. Since the Dodge tach is 2 5/8" I wanted the others to be the same size and have the same apperance as the stock instrument panel. The VDO's are 2 5/8's and match the stock instrument panel. The light's all have the same color and they all dim with the stock dimmer.
The differentals and transfercase run 160- 180 degrees with normal use. I don't tow anything so I'm not sure what the temps would be under load.
The hardest part building the thing is matching the curves of the dash. The two end's and the front and back all have different contours.
I drew the front panel out and had a machine shop cut the holes out. After the housing was built I had a body shop paint it. The wood grain looking face material came from my local Dodge parts man.
If I can build one so can the rest of you. Give it a TRY!!
