Garage door operator pairing

Have watched many youtube videos and various other info posts and I have NOT been able to pair the Gate operator remote with the truck button , could I have a bad control module in the truck ? Is there some way to verify this before I order a new one to the tune of 80.00? Does anyone have a reliable source if this is my solution TIA

Have you Googled both the truck and the gate opener frequent problems? Sometimes they might offer help. I two Rams and a Jeep that work great. Let me know if you have problems finding anything and I can roll in an help further.

I have a rhino gate opener and it works fine but I have to get fairly close to gate for it get the signal
20 feet or so
My regular garage roll up doors both work at much longer distances (linear)
I set them up using the truck owners manual as a guide I believe

I just thought of one more thing if you still have problems: I had to pull within inches of the garage door I park my 5500 in before it would work. I Googled and found a garage door extension antenna that I installed outside my shop and now it works about 100ft away.

If it opens the gate close, it is programed. You may need to have a very fresh battery in the remote you are using to program the button in your truck. If it still won't work further away, chances are you a better antenna on the gate.

We are both at the same 55 up park. We have had held remotes for the entry gate that you set the dip switches to. My 15 I simply press hand held button holding it close and push the "1" button and it says training and then complete. His simply no way will accept the code. His is a 2013 Laramie.

The battery is fresh in the remote as it is mine he is using. He also has one that came with his lot. So neither remote is being accepted.
