I purchased a Garmin 465T GPS unit recently. Very nice unit and I know it is overkill. I want to use the truck mode for trailering. I like that I can enter all the information about my set up. It takes weight, height, width into consideration and suppossedly will keep you out of trouble by avoiding low bridges weight restrictions etc. It also comes with a lifetime subscription to FM traffic info. It has a bluetooth capability and it hooked up relatively quickly to my LG VX5500 cell phone. I have not found a way to turn up the cell phone volume. I changed the turn by turn volume up but for some reason it does not help the Bluetooth. I can switch to car mode too. I am sure there are many features that everyone has on their GPS but I am really happy with this one so far. Trailering may be a different story as I am afraid this unit may literally treat me like a tractor-trailer and take me on routes I don't need to be on. We'll see. I am hoping it takes size and weight into consideration. Does anyone have any real world experience with this GPS unit???

This is an outstanding UNIT..................

I have had this one since last fall..... it is tremendous - the Blu Tooth was nice BUT I couldn't hear that feature - with my poor ears - over the Diesel when she was running... . BUT when stopped it was pretty good. I really love the Great Lane Change feature that actually shows you what the freaking exit actually looks like - (graphic but almost PIXAR quality... Hard to beat unit... . all I've ever need. OPPS - after I wrote this I saw my BOX on the Table --- mine is a 765T Nuvi NOT this one which is for Big Rigs..... sorry... ...

hammersley: I would imagine your 765T has even more functionality than my 465T. What's up with the Bluetooth volume? My co-worker suggested maybe the speaker volume on my cell phone needs to be turned up to make the volume on the GPS go up. I'll try anything! I hear you on the ears. There were so many cool features that to me would be so handy when you're pulling a travel trailer into a city scenario with the GPS telling me and displaying which lanes to be in rather than just giving me updates to an exit. I wanted to be able to glance at the unit and see where I need to be. I also like the signs in the lower left that if I tap on a hazard sign, it will give me details as to the hazard. Information is King and so far this unit has not disappointed with the exception of the blue tooth volume. I have a bluetooth earpiece I thought about trying for giggles but that just bypasses the GPS altogether (I think. My 14 Year old will have to train me on this!). I would love for the GPS to show an incoming call on the display because usually I have Frampton or Boston or Heart at an ear bleeding volume while motoring down the Interstate!!!! Lots of toys. I can't wait to hit the highways with the TT and GPS and see what happens... or where I end up.
