seems the garrett turbos come with a 3in downpipe for a straight swap in, but the 3in is a major restriction and causes very high drive pressures. #@$%! is there a company out there that makes a custom 4in downpipe for the garrett gt37r stage 3 turbo. i heard about source automotive having a part like that, but was unable to locate it.

if not and you have a 4in downpipe on your garrett, which shop did the work for you and how much was it just so i have a general idea if i need to have one built by a local shop.

thanks

i would call turbo resource tom knows his stuff he does custom garrett work i know lots of folks that are very pleased with his work

i will be going to him for my 05 when funds allow

i contacted turbo resource by e-mail and am waiting to hear back from them. about how much would a stage 3 with downpipe from them cost.

source auto didnt have the part. they had what they called a raw part that could be welded to a 4in connector.

damn i wanna get this turbo in and floor it. expecially since i just got my "i heart my carbon footprint" sticker in the mail. :-laf

Tom wrote me and said they don't have a bolt-on adapter, but you can send in the exhaust housing and they'll do the machining and welding to change it to a HX40 flange for about $150.

does turbo resource sell the modified turbos as a package or do they just take in and modify turbos. why cant someone make a 500 horse ball bearing turbo that doesnt require hoops to jump through like a turbonetics stage 1. 5#@$%!
