gas down, not diesel ?

Gas has been coming down the last couple of weeks to $4. 15 here in Bothell. But, diesel has been at $4. 87 for quite a while, hasnt come down a bit. Is anyone seeing diesel coming down ?

I seen diesel in NE Houston this morning for $4. 45, its slowly going down here.

I've seen the same thing here in So. Cal. , diesel is just not coming down like regular ol gasoline. I'm sure part of it is that, car owners are just not driving as much, while the trucking industry which uses the bulk of diesel fuel is still driving.

Station here a week ago on Saturday was $4. 76. Monday morning was down to $4. 53. Still that price.

Here in Syracuse gas is the same, diesel dropped about $. 10 since last week.

prices are just strange period. I started buying gas for my car here in Las Cruces because it was 3. 89 compared to 3. 99 on Base. Now Cruces is 3. 87 and Base is 3. 68 diesel has stayed at 4. 69 the last few months.

Cheap prices around here today are $3. 819 for 87 gas, and $4. 599 for #2. Diesel has gone down about 17 cpg in the past 2 weeks. Gas has gone down about30.

I just bought fuel yesterday in Peshtigo, Wi. (60 mi. north of Green Bay) for $4. 39.

That's down . 30 in the last week.

For the second week in a row, retail diesel prices tumbled in all regions of the country. The U. S. average price dropped to 460. 3 cents per gallon, a decline of 11. 5 cents. Nonetheless, the price was 171. 7 cents higher than a year ago.

I just returned from France where diesel is less expensive than gas. I'm sure the oil companies have an explanation... .
