OMG Absolutely not! That would make everything worse!
Why do you say that?

That Gas needs to be out of the system entirely.
And two stroke oil would ruin the whole DPF/SCR system.

It's deleted so no worries on the DPF, but I agree don't use 2-stroke. There are so many better options for lubricity.

When I got gas in my 99 I put 1 quart of 2 stroke oil in it. Some diesel folks use it on a regular basis in the older trucks

How much gas was put in. I changed my oil and filter as well I had 10 gallons in a 32 gallon tank but I don’t know if it was all diesel. Pretty sure it was. It took out my pump vp 44 but I made it home 300 miles. And certainly the 2 stroke didn’t hurt a thing

He does not have a vintage Truck, stop recommending stuff that does not apply at all to his Common Rail System.
Or do you go and pay the 7000$ repair bill that'll follow.

That tank needs to be drained properly and he shall use a good additive and nothing else. This is serious and not a funny mistake.
Draining properly to what extent. Really appreciate your help

So I looked up 2 stroke oil in common rail trucks it appears it’s not a big deal. Especially in a deleted truck. So drain the tank best he can add fresh fuel some kind of extra lube something might be better than 2 stroke but I don’t know what that is off hand and I think he’s all set to go. And I never thought it was funny. It was not funny when it happened to me and it cost me money also

Actually the very best would be syphoning it as good as possible and then drop the tank to get really all of it out. That would be the gold standard.

If that is not possible for what ever reason, I'd flush it twice. Syphoning it out, drop in 10 gallons of Diesel, syphoning these out again too and then fill it to the top after you have added a good additive like Power Service that is recommended from Cummins.

Sorry I was offline during the day.

That's what I'd do with my truck in your situation, Diesel is much much cheaper then the injection hardware. Don't gamble here.

2 stroke is getting very hard to find sometimes these days. My old vintage truck sure did like it though. Mix ratio was a quart 32 ounces to a 32 gallon tank . The good old days
