Antigel treatment for the soot traps

oil analysis on a 91.5

changed the dope in my diff. this weekend, usually just loosen the bolts let it drain and retorque and fill, decided with almost 400,000 mi to pull the cover and look inside. first checked with advance to see if they had a gasket just in case, they didnt stock it but could get it for 55. 00 dollars. gears looked good old gasket looked good 55 dollars not spent. still cant believe that gasket is 55 bucks.

When you consider that it lasts for 400,000+ miles is not that bad. I would rather have a $55. 00 gasket that doesn't need replaced than a $20. 00 one that needs to be changed every time I change the fluid

I assume you are talking about the AA gasket. It is steel cored and has rubber bonded to both sides. A super gasket, reusable, as you found out.

If you get 2003+ rotors/calipers, you must get 17" rims to work. I personally am happy with the stock brakes on my 01, huge improvement over the single piston front calipers/rear drums. As far as replacement rotors/calipers, I just go to my local napa. I have had powerslot rotors and hawk pads but now just get whatever napa has and have been happy with them. also napa calipers don't seem to get surface rust on them as quick as other auto parts stores. Had my fronts on for a yr and still look good. Back calipers are working fine just have coat of surface rust. All four rotors and pads have been working great. Been exactly one year almost to the day did that job on my rig

BUMP! I am bumping your post as you have some fairly urgent questions. Sorry I have to run to dentist and cannot answer myself right now. Hopefully someone else will address, if not I will try to later today.
