I had a three gauge dash mount for about the first year that I had my truck. I recently changed to the autometer pillar. I like the pillar mount much more than the dash mount. The dash mount blocked some forward visibility and just didn't look like it belonged there. The pillar mount looks like it belongs there and the gauges don't block any of the forward view.

If I were going to do it again I would get the pillar mount.

I have both. Pre & post turbo plus boost on the A piller. Exhaust brake pressure and two temp guages on the dash. I would say the A piller is easier to glance at. Maybe it is me but when I am getting it on in 4th or 5th gear, trying to watch the road and the three guages takes some thought.

How about the third option,on the bolster under the ashtray?I drove trucks with all three mounts and liked the under mounting best. The dash mount reflected onto the windshield and blocked the view too much, the A-pillar felt like it was in my face too much. Once you know your truck you learn when you need to start paying attention to the gauges, they aren't something you need to look at all the time. I find the low mount easy to read when need be,out of the way and looks fine too. My 2¢
