Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Gauge going haywire

I have an Isspro transmission temp gauge that the needle bounces all over for the first few minutes. Some times it will bounce around a little while later. This just started a couple of weeks ago and has been getting worse. The gauge is about 2 or 3 years old.

Think the gauge is going out or maybe a wiring problem? The other gauges are just fine.

Any opinions would be appreciated.
