does the propod for an 03 model 2500 work on the 04?? How did ya put your in?? where can I find instructions to install transmission temp, turbo boost and egt sending units on a 04 2500 CTD. Can anyone tell me how they ran the wires throught the dash and around what ever they had to do to make it work?? I am trying to not reinvent the wheel if aI can help it. I also don't want to take the whole dash apart if it is not necessary. Oh I forgot I am usint the tripple propod a pillar mount thanks for your help!!

03 and 04 are the same. The pod will fit.

Instructions are around here someplace. Do a search. Most gauges will come with all the necessary fittings. You will have to drill and tap for EGT and boost unless you buy a boost bolt (bolt that is hollow and replaces one on the intake).

I ran my wires through a plug in the firewall just behind the clutch pedal.

FMichaud,

There are tons of people on here who have performed exactly what you're asking. I would bet that the A-pillar for the 04 trucks is identical to those for the 03 trucks, so yours should install no problem, per the instructions that come with it. Note that in the instructions they tell you to hacksaw off the handle and install the propod over top of the existing A-pillar piece. This is to comply with NHTSA regulations. All I will say is, it's not the only way to install it. ;)

As for installing a transmission temp gauge, do you have an auto or manual? For manual, I recommend getting yourself a set of Fastcoolers from Genos. They have a 1/8 NPT port on them. For automatic, I believe you'll need to install a fitting in the transmission pan, which isn't difficult at all.

For turbo boost, look at this.

For an EGT thermocouple, where do you want to install it: pre or post turbo? Most people install them pre-turbo, but it depends on your intended use for the gauge. If you install it pre-turbo, you'll need to drill the exhaust manifold. Here are some good threads about EGT gauges:

Where to install with pictures

Installing a Westach probe - where?

All of the above information was located using the search feature. I know this place can be extremely overwhelming at first, but you should try searching on what you want to do, because if you want to do it, it's almost guaranteed someone in here has already done it and posted about it.

Welcome aboard.

When you get a chance go into the user control panel, select "edit profile" and put the important details of your truck in the signature box. This allows us to see them at the botom of your posts and aids in answering your questions.
