Hey guys:

I'm going to install my Banks Pyro and Boost gauges this weekend. I was wondering, where is the best place to hook up the wires for the gauge lights. I'm not too sure where to hook them up to.

This is my first step to bombing. After this, I'll be playing with a few screws;) I might even get me a 16 cm turbo housing. I saw Piers had a deal on them for this month. Does anyone know what brand he sells and how you go about buying things from him since he's across the border? Might be harder due to last weeks horrible events.

I tapped into fuse #14 (3 A fuse) in the back of the fuse block. Make sure that you tap into the correct side of the fuse so that the fuse will protect the lamp circuit. Using the fuse as a power source will allow you to dim the gauge lamp when the instrument panel is dimmed.

Sounds like Al has the right idea on the lights. I have done them the same way, only on Chevys.

How do you like being muffler-free? I know it's hard to say in words, but how much louder is it? I'm thinking about having mine fall off. :)

Also, how do you like your Skyjacker stabilizer?

I also am curious about buying through Piers. Are there any taxes or duties buying from Canada? Their sale price on the housing sounds good.

Hey J:

I love the straight pipe. It isn't any louder from inside the truck with teh windows up, but if they're all down and the back one is open, she sounds good:D It is still not an annoying, V8 sound, these engines have their own unique sound. I am happy with it.

I installed teh Skyjacker steering stabilizer about 6,000 miles ago and it seemed to tighten up the steering a bit and when you hit bumps, they're dampened. It was recommended by an alignment shop so I just installed it, very easy installation.

$125. 00 plus shippng from the great state of

Washington, free of customs , duties and ? ... ...

ordered mine via e mail on mon. night called

Tues. at noon to confirm the order, piers said that my order was shipped from their southern warehouse(wash state)..... hope it gets here soon, now all i need to do is find some guages(pyro, tach, boost) all in 2 1/16" mounted on the A pillar..... anyone know where i can get an a pillar mounting kit for my 91. 5... . keep on ramming

Hi JDeMaio,

I tapped into the tach hookup on my truck. I used the black wire for a ground and the orage wire for the light power. If you are careful, you can cut the insulation off the wires without cutting them off the tach plug. Also make sure that if you are wanting to do this correctly, get out the solder gun and heat shrink and make the wiring permanent. Let me know how it all turns out. Have a great weekend too!

That's what I want, quiet (relatively anyway) inside, and a little more sound outside. A friend has an exhaust bender, so I will ask him to bend up a "muffler replacement". Mine has no steering stabilizer, and that surprises me. Did they have them from the factory?
