Gauge mounts ?

Has anyone attempted to install the overhead 4 gauge mount for a 2003 up on a 2001 truck. Some sites say it is ok. I need a 3-4 gauge mount non piller and wanted to use this one if it can be made to fit.

I got the 2 gauge setup. All I needed to do was cut a slot to fit over the wire from the rear view mirror.
