What do you thnk of my angled gauges for better view from drivers seat? It replaces the useless cup holder in my '97.

vc,the plastic material you used for the mounting looks very familiar, what is it?Cup holder is sort of useless isn't it?

nice job vc. Andy Perreault did the same thing in his '97 CC 4x4 although, I believe he mounted three gauges in the same area, angled for better viewing as you have done. In fact you two used the same gauges... VDO Cockpit series. #ad

I made it out of fiberglass from a mold I made out of tin. I have another gauge plate I made out of fiberglass, but it's just straight across-no angle to the gauges, and I couldn't see the markings on the left side of gauge without leaning over. Now I can see the markings without leaning over. Much better.
I've got another one I'm making out of aluminum with a local machine shop that will be same angled set up but with more precise bends and shape. Anyone think there's enough interest in this I can try to come up with some figures with the machine shop. I really like my 'glass one,but it's rather time consuming to make it out of 'glass.
The Aluminum one should be rather quick to make and probably not terribly expensive(I think).
I'm thinking about getting a nice one made out of aluminum and pull another glass one off it for myself that would look a little nicer than the one I have now.
