I've been wanting to install some gauges and was wondering how the different pods have worked out for those of you that have used them. I have an 06 Ram, and would like to mount at least 3 gauges, maybe 4.

My son has an 06 and I have an 08, both pods are light gray. We both have the a-pillar tri-prod and are extremely happy with them. They do remove the grab handle but I have never used one on the driver side. Boost is on top then EGT and trans temp is on the bottom. Both of the pods look like they had come from the factory as installed items.

just my $0. 02

Get the Auto Meter pods - they are excellent. Buy some Mopar matching interior paint and they will almost look like an OEM install. I currently have a triple on the pillar, the triple dash pod, and the single column pod. I previously had the dual pillar pod, and it was fine too, but when they came out with a triple... well, had to have it :D

I have the double pod on top of the dash, double overhead, and triple gauge mount in the cubby hole. Love'em. I have heard of guys having problems with the overhead not staying in position or falling down. I have not experienvced that yet. I cleaned the daylights out of the area where the pod mounted to the glass though. I have a post on the 3rd Gens (no Engine/Trans) where I have pictures of my install. I apologize that I don't know how to link you to it. I bought all my gauges, pods and paint from Geno's. I think I have a very nice install but I am a bit biased.....

Here is a pic of mine. Boost on top, rail pressure middle, trans temp bottom. I have an Edge juice that I am using as more guages on the steering column.

I have the Edge Insight and like it. Cost around $410 for the Insight, EGT Probe, and pillar mount. It monitors quite a bit of stuff, I bought it for EGTS, boost and trans temp. Its a plug and play deal, you will have to drill the EGT probe though. Another good thing is you get to keep your "oh s**t handle" and its all digital.

I had a three hole gauge mount that mounted to the top of the windshield. I loved the placment till I had to pull down the mount to fix a wiring issue and it never stayed up no matter what I tried to hang it with. I finally went with a dash mount and it works great for me.
