Hey guys, my gauges went screwy yesterday and i need ideas. When i left work my abs and brake light stayed on,and about 20 minutes later my speedo started only to work above 25 miles per hour. Any ideas?

Rattler,

EXACT same thing happened to me today (HELP!). I was driving along at highway speeds then slowed for a stopsign and the speedo went to 0

Both warning lights are on, spedo works only above 25mph.

(OD does not increase when driving under 25mph)

I removed the speed sensor, and the wires... . inspected the harness, but NO luck.

I also checked the resistance of the speed sensor and found it to have no reisistance (but i do not know what this means. )

Also, with the harness disconected, no speed at any range would register.

I'm going to check for ground and sensor input voltage tomorrow on the harness.

Anybody know what the resistance of the speed sensor should be, or if ther should even be reistance when the plug is removed?

The gentleman at Autozone said they could not diagnose ABS fault codes on the 99model truck??!??!!

Sorry, i should have posted what i did to fix the problem. On friday the 5th, i replaced the speed sensor and everything is back to normal. Cost from local dealership was 43. 00 including tax. They even had one in stock.
