Boost gauge

Anti freeze

I just installed my a-pillar gauges last week & I just wanted to check my readings to see if they're what they should be.

EGT: 250-300 at idle, 600-700 at 60 mph - runs up to 900+ pretty easy if I step on it (flat & unloaded)

Boost: doesn't seem like it kicks in for a while, usually runs around 10 psi during normal acceleration (not stomping on it) & I can't get it over 15 psi. (seems kind of low)

Fuel Pressure: ~10 psi at idle, drops to 7-8 under normal acceleration & drops to 5 under WOT. Probably need a new pump pretty soon?

thanks guys. This site is great! I used ISSPRO's bulb covers & my gauges match the dash lights perfectly!

I had about the same numbers stock, for EGT, but FP is 16 @ idle, and 11 @ highway speeds (70+), 12 around town, and 8 @ WOT. Maybe I just got a strong pump. Stock, I could push the ol' girl to 19 psi, but once I got the BD III's, watch out! They are just too much fun! Everything sounds about right for your truck, I don't know what you mean about the boost not kicking in, but the more fuel you give it, the more boost it'll make, so moderate accel. not having as much boost as WOT is normal, if that is what you mean. The BOMBing has begun! James

_luke,

Your EGT's look fine. The fuel pressure should be fine as long as you don't go under 5psi (that's what I was told).

Your boost seems to be a little low; I can hit 30 without even trying too hard. But again, I didn't have the gages when BigBlue was stock ... :D

i could hit 19-20 before any performance mods. I had the BHAF and a 4" exhaust when i installed the gauges, so there could be a LITTLE difference.
