I have a dipricol pyro on the pillar and am installing boost, rail pressure, and fuel pressure gauges, right now I have a t-tap into the dimmer switch, to get power to all the gauges I was going to take the 16 ga wire tapped into the dimmer switch and sodder (I cant spel) four tails to the end of the 16 ga wire this would give a parallel circuit. Is this acceptable? Will it work well?? What have you all done about multiple gauges and one t-tap in the dimmer switch?

Thanks, Jay

I believe your saying what i did on mine. I tied all the gauge light wires together and drop one wire to the dimmer. I tapped the cig lighter for keyed power for the egt gauge and all works great.

I may have misintepreted this. If your gages need 12v to run, which is common and appears to be the case, the dimmer switch will not furnish sufficient voltage when dialed down. The dimmer switch wire should be used for gage lighting only. Further more, if you have LED lighting on the gages the dimmer feature may not work anyway. You may need to install a separate LED dimmer switch. It is very easy to run a wire over to the switched cig lighter wire. This is a fuse-protected 20a circuit and can handle a few taps. Double check, but this wire should be pink w/yellow tracer on '05 and '06. There are a few threads in TDR detailing "dash removal" and "cigarette lighter power". Do not use the 12v aux power receptacle for your gages, this is not switched. Ground connection can be made to any screw that connects to metal.
