Just got my new gauges from Geno's. I went with the Isspro egt, boost & trans temp for my 97 2500. Could someone recommend the best place to tap into the dimmable lighting source (for the gauge lighting) and the ignition hot. I was going to use the lighting source from the dimmer switch and the Ign source from the fuse box. Any advice from someone who has already done this install would be appreciated.

I went off of my fuse box for both. Just got a couple of those special fuses with the spade extention coming off them.

go to auto supply store, ask for add a circuit. remove fuse #5 and #8. plug in the add fuse, then plug into the add fuse the approiate size fuse. attach the wire from your lights to #5 and power to #8. please check your fuse diagram if this is correct. going from memory. good luck

In my 97 it was the #5 and #13 fuses. The #5 is from the cigarette lighter circuit and the #13 is from the dash lights illumination circuit.
