Gauge Wiring

I have my 4 gauges. Pyro, boost, f. p. , and trans temp... . Where do you all think i should route all the wiring for the lights to?

Depends

If you are using a pillar mount for some of your gages, you can run them down the small hole in the dash under the pillar. If you are putting your gages on top of the dash, you are going to have to make holes to mount it, and you can make a slightly larger hole to run wires.



All you need to do when making holes for the wires is to make them so that the gage mount covers them up.

I ran all my light wires together and spliced them into my headlight switch, cant remember exactly what the color wire it was but its diffrent on the 03s then 04s but thats the best way that I can think to do it. Dont do what I did and wrap them all up along with the pyro wire becuse the volts from the light wire will cross over into the pyro and make it quit working when you have the lights on. You ever figure out where your going to mount them? I know you said something aobut an SRT piller and you still using the cubby hole mount or did you scratch that?

Thx guys if it help i got a 3 gauge A-pillar and a 1 gauge steering mount. ANyone know what color wire im looking for? Id like to run it in with the lights

I think the wire is orange with a white tracer. You should be able to find it by the headlight switch or the heater controls.

My instructions said orange with white stripe. But, my '04 had three orange wires--and they all had black stipes! So, I used a test light. When you hunt for the wire, it will dim and brighten your test light. That's the wire to use.

Thats what I did, just busted out my volt meter and tested tell I found the one that dimmed. Took like 2-3 trys and I got it. Hope it all goes well.

Orange with white stripe is the 03s, our 04s are different. There are several wires that are orange with a black or grey stripe, one of them is the dimmer, but since they are the same color, you have to use a test light to find the one for the dimmer circuit, like SOLER said.
