I have an Auto-meter 3-gauge A-pillar mount, equiped with ISSPRO EGT, boost, and transmission oil temp. I'd like to have trans pressure and eng. oil temp. gauges installed where the factory cupholder is. I want a factory looking install for this, where can I find a trim kit to do this, or have it custom-made? I feel inadequate without MORE... . MORE gauges, I love gauges, doohickies, gee-whiz-bang stuff, please help me! Only one problem though, please don't send me out to get "cheesy" looking or poorly made aftermarket items, I want this truck to look like it had everything OEM. I get lots of comments about my gauges(everyone says it looks OEM).

I'd also like to mount all my aux. switches(plow, aux. lights, tcc lock and unlock switches, etc. ) where my ashtray is. I don't smoke, and don't carry change there, so it's a waste of space. I want this to look like a factory panel as well, so anyone with an idea, drop a post.

Hella makes aux switches that look OEM for our trucks, rocker switch with a light green LED, LOOKS GOOD! Ordered 'em at a local aftermarket store here in town.

Thanks for any input.

I haven't seen anything out there that fits your bill. You may have to get a sheet of plastic and cut it yourself with a dremel. The ashtray idea is a good one, but the screws are set back pretty far. I mounted two micro switches inside of mine.

Painless Wiring has some great switch panel kits... but nothing made to fit exactly in the cupholder area... Try finding a dirt track race car or sprint car owner or shop, most of them are masters of fabrication, and can cut & bend a very nice little gauge & switch panel for you at a reasonable cost. Look at HIS car first, #ad
if his interior sheetmetal looks funny, try another place...
Oops... missed the "Alaska" in your post... had to come back and add this... more snowmobiles than dirt track cars up that way, I guess. This is a niche in the market that needs to be filled... how about it guys, anybody out there that can get a panel like this made up in their own shop, or can anybody tweak the guys at AutoMeter into getting off their duffs and making one?

If you use the spa gauges you can monitor 6 functions in just a 3 pod a pillar, "dual gauges try http://www.performancediesel.net
Talk to hvac he can tell you about some sweet gauges, with essentially all thoses spa's you may not need to add any more panels for gauges, cant help you on the switches, I do know that microswitches on the top of the steering column look real cool

B... ... ... ... ... ... .

Wow, I like those SPA guages! Cool. But, I really like my conventional analog gauges with the needles just a little better. I think it looks just little more OEM. Thanks for the info!

If I can qoute Briar Hopper, How about it guys? Can anyone make this panel(s)? I'm willing to bet someone could do it. I'll bet I'm not the only one willing to pay for one.

Sixkill, I put three gauges in the cupholder spot in my '95. I cut a piece of 1/4" ABS sheet to overlay the hole left after I tossed the cupholder. I made angled bezels from 2" ABS drain pipe which is a prefict fit for 2 1/8" gauges. The gauges hold the bezels to the sheet ABS. I used a 3M scuff pad to knock off the gloss.

I used the same ABS to mount a Sony CD controler in the ashtray slot.

It was all pretty easy to do and looks good.

sixkill, I'm wondering if the new Gauge Works/Auto Meter triple dash mount will work on your '95 Ram. It mounts to the top of the dash, centered, and almost against the windshield. Just a thought. I know both Vaughn MacKenzie and KatDiesel are using this mount. I'm going to be adding one of these soon. Like you, I'm on a quest for more insrumentation although, I'm more interested in monitoring before/after pressures of my lift pump/fuel filter.
