I have a set of ultralites installed in the gauge pod that sets on the dash. It is the custom pod made for dodge trucks I believe by autometer. Anyone have a slick way of getting the gauges out of the pod without damaging pod of gauges? My egt gauge is starting to act up and I think there may be a short somewhere. Most of the time it works ok but other times the needle jumps around funny like it is barely getting a signal and then it will totally go out. Help please!

Take out gauges?

If they are like the a-pod, you just pull them out its a tight fit so takes a little tugging.

Fish on... . I'm having the same problems with my ultralight egt gauge. It'll work for a little while, then reads well below zero and finally gets real erratic and reads way too high. This started happening last week when we got a cold snap, still doesn't work right. Haven't had the time to check it out yet.

Fish On:

I have my Ultra-Lite out on sent back to Auto-Meter now for the same problem. The pyro has a way of getting erratic in its movement. Mine at one time would turn all the way around. Then it just quit. Got a new black box from CarParts.com, now that has quit. I called Auto-Meter and they said to send it back with the black box. Now the A-Pillar looks naked with just wires and a light Still got the boost working. I've never had any trouble with it. The type with the box seem to have a problem with the boxes. I understand the new ones don't have the box. Directly to the gauge. Hope they fix the old one . I don't want to have to pull all the wires out of the A-Pillar. .

Good luke.
