Hey maybe some one can help me. I am trying to find a fuel flow gauge. I just need something simple to count how many gallons of that wonderful diesel i flow. thanks

FloScan is a company that makes marine fuel flow guages, but they're very pricey. Since these are so popular in marine applications, I'm sure FloScan isn't the only one making them so you might be able to find others cheaper.



The combination fuel flow/tach gauge I was looking at was almost $900 if I remember correctly!

Like Mike said Flow-Scan http://www.floscan.com/ModelSelection/series7000.html is the best going and as far as I know is the only one that measures both the inlet and return flow, subtracts and gives you the difference which is fuel used. Here's another that measures only one flow but will mean absoluty nothing hooked to the inlet line of our trucks http://www.measureanything.com/products/exoflow/datasheet_fuel_flow_gauge.asp this one can be configured to measure inlet and return and subtract but will end up more expendsive than the Flow-Scan with less features.



Really need to know exactly where it is you want to measure and I can lead you to all kinds, we use them extensively in research work. Do you only want gpm or hour, totalizer, how much pressure? One that will measure the low flow from a automotive fuel line will be pricey whereas one that measures high flow from a line like a gas station hose will be cheaper. The cheapest flowmeters I've seen that can measure fuel are around $100 but need 4 gpm minimum. At that rate you would have to go 14,400 mph at 15 mpg for it to work. To measure 15 mpg at 60 mph it would have to read . 06 gpm, a very low and expendsive rate to measure. That's why the Flow-Scans are so pricey.

all i'm lookingfor is someting tha measures howmuch fuel I use. I don't need gpm or psi. but i will check out those sites you guys sent me. thanks
