Dyno SHOOTOUT during Sled Pull SHOOTOUT in Colorado 7/22!!

Gauging interest in a sledpull and dynoday at Floor It on July 22nd

Checking to see if there is any interest in a Sledpull, dynoday and cookout at Floor It Diesel in Lawrence Kansas on July 22nd. John says he thinks he needs at least 20 trucks for the sled rental and it will all be held on the grounds at his place.

The dynoday is a go for sure. $55. 00 for 3 pulls starting at 9:00AM on July 22nd at Floor It Diesel. The sledpull details are still being worked on.

Count me in. Woohoo. I'd rather run to Lawrence then out to Denver. I need to get this rig on rollers and see what it has too. Would be good if the sled pull works out; maybe would get more feedback with a post in the comp forum too.

Oo.

John talked to the guy with the sled last night. He has to talk to some guys about getting the dirt work done next before I have info on that.

Count me in too, i'm not a sled puller but i would love to get my truck on a dyno. Mcoleman how long does it take too get out there from like Springfield???

I think it is a great idea. I wanted to come to the one last time and couldn't. Hopefully I can make this one. Even if it is just for the fun of it and not to compete.

As far as pulling goes there is a pull l in Malvern IA the day after. (only 35 miles from Omaha) The Denver show (that I personally don't care about. Because I didn't think much of it last year) is also that weekend isn't it?

If Fulmer is coming I would show up just to see his truck. I have always liked it.

It takes me about 3 to 3 1/2 hours to get there from Springfield. I go up 13 to Clinton and then take 7 over to 71. Not a bad drive really.

A pull in Malvern IA? That's practically right out my door. What rules are they running? The Nebraska Pullers organization pretty much excludes Cummins due to requiring lightweight trucks. Check this out -- 7500lb weight with dual turbos. lol. Maybe in a reg cab with no weights; but a quad cab streetable truck can't touch that weight if it has safety gear (loops, shields) especially if you have an extra 150lbs for the twins.

It is actually a ne powerpuller event. I have heard some dislike for their rules. The weight along with no dual rear wheels. A good % of their pullers have reg cabs. Maybe they will revise them for next year if they hear enough complaints. I know some guys from CO were coming to area pulls by a santioning body based more in western NE but I don't know if they are still.

Well it is out there if anyone is interested.

For those of you who have issues with maps, I can give you the directions from anywhere you are coming from.

Russell

Some signs the day of the event might not be a bad idea despite Russell's excellant instructions and maps. :-laf

Indeed; is this event a "go"? Need to make travel plans for this or Denver. I'd rather run down to Lawrence and meet the fine folks from MO and KS since it's closer to home.

I'm not sure if the sled pull at Floor It Diesel is a go or not, but there is a truck pull the night before in Platte City, MO (not too far away) with big payouts!!!

Link to info

Click on the Rules link to see the payouts (1st place is $2000).
