Competition Turbonetics?

Competition Dodge Truck vs CST-V : 0-80ish

I thought I would give you a little sneak peak at Gale Banks engineering Duramax Type D , track trial will be finished soon and the diesel public will really enjoy getting to watch this cutting edge ride go head to head racing with the nitrous assisted mountain motored gasoline powered cars in NHRA's premiere sportsman eliminator Top Sportsman. This qualified field 7. 90 minimum dial eliminator is going to be tough, but GBE is confident that better then average chance we will go a few rounds. I have been doing 500 to 1000 practice tree hits a day getting back to my old form before match racing let me become a little lax

i think most of the badging is intact! LOL!! for the class their in ,lets face it, no one is stock! i cant help being biased about the cheby but i do look forward to seeing a diesel dragger! a few years ago turbos were taboo, now we'll have to see how long till the class rules change! curios as to the lack of intercooling?

The rules did change, and for the good. . Diesels have long been allowed to compete in many classes in NHRA including Top sportsman Top Dragster, Super comp, Super Gas, and Super Street. The problem was Diesel powered race cars were not competitive because of the lack of ability to spool on an autostart pro Tree, and excessive smoke levels were not acceptable.

A few of us on here got the ball rolling ,and then Gale Banks , Mike Wood of NX and the great guys a Chevy powertrains went to bat for Diesel . During this process the diesel cause was blesses with a surprising benefactor, none other then the father of organized drag racing Wally Parks. Wally a long time friend of Gale Banks became involved in our quest to giving Diesels a level playing field and a chance to shine is a true National Spot light

On a side note if you every get a chance to shake Wally’s hand with out chocking up, your not a drag race

We now have a place to run in the spotlight of a vast demographics rich environment that will propel quite a few in to mainstream sponsored rides. NHRA rules will now allow Turbo Diesel powered race cars to use Nitrous and in top Sportsman and Top Dragster the use of both nitrous and Turbocharger.

You want to see great racing, wait to see me and Charlie Stewart, or Jeff Olsen (Racing Dually) and Bill Fletch line up at the NHRA national event. Imagine being in the stands with 100,000 plus screaming fans, people who own diesel trucks but never knew that you could improve the performance of their truck. With mainstream vendors getting in to diesel performance NX Edelobrock , MSD and a few others , NHRA is opening up its ranks to include us in . With crowds at most NHRA PowerAde national over 100,000 and over 15,000 at NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional Event the exposure is there, to ask for the sponsorship deals .

Oh and Nitrous Express provides the intercooling , and you would be surprised and how many production Parts from the Chevy Duramax engine are up to the task of the close to 1100 hp in that power plant

But my question was NEVER Answered there Mr Comp.

Does it have less then or equal to 3. 3% opacity out the exhaust. Being on #2 only and all I'd like to see this on video.

If that truck is at 1100 hp it should be real close to 7. 90. If it's not a secret what does the Type D wiegh compared to the Type R?
